CRAPS

High Rollin'You always hear people yelling and screaming at the craps table. It sounds like a roar of excitement and you want to try a roll.....Right? But you just don't know how to play. Craps offers many options of play, most with different odds. It is important to watch experienced players play in order to get some kind of understanding for rolling the dice, making your bets, and collecting your winnings. The dealer is always there to help you with any questions that may arise. Here are some basic bets that can be placed on the craps table: Pass Line, Come, Don't Pass, Don't Come,  Numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10), Field Bets (2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12),  Hard Way Bets (Double Combinations: 1 -  6) and more. All these options give you a lot to think about when playing craps, so learn as much as you can and roll your way to the money!

Pass Line - A Pass Line bet is a bet on the "Shooter" (The Player Rolling The Dice) to win. On the first roll of the dice, called the "Come Out" roll, 7 and 11 win. If 2, 3 or 12 (Craps) rolls, the Pass Line bet loses. Any other number rolled becomes the "point". The shooter must roll the point number again before rolling a 7 to win. If 7 rolls before the point number, the bet loses and the dice pass to the next shooter. (This is a contract bet and cannot be removed once the point is established. The same rules as the Don't Pass Line bet apply.)

Place Bets - If you want to bet on the shooter to a specific number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) before first rolling a 7, inform the dealer. The dealer will place your bet on the number or numbers of your choice. Place bets win if the number placed is rolled before a 7 rolls. (These bets can be removed at any time prior to a 7 roll; if 7 rolls before the number, the bet loses.)

Field Bets - A one-roll bet. If a roll of (2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12) is tossed, you win; a (2 and 12) roll pays double.

Big 6 & 8 - You are betting that a (6 or 8) will roll before a 7. If the one you bet on (6 or 8) rolls before a 7, you win even money.

Odds - A wager in addition to the original Pass or Don't Pass Line bet. Winning Pass or Don't Pass bets are paid even money. The player is laying the odds on the "Don't", and must bet more to win on each point. The odds portion of the bet is paid as shown below:

POINT OF PASS DON'T PASS

4 or 10 2 to 1 1 to 2
5 or 9 3 to 2 2 to 3
6 or 8 6 to 5 5 to 6
